Obituary of Emily W. Bitter

Emily W. Bitter, 101, of Orlando, Florida formerly of Wall Township, New Jersey passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at the Cornerstone Hospice Center at Orlando Regional Medical Center.  Emily was born and raised in the Lower Squankum section of Howell Township, New Jersey.  She had lived in Neptune, New Jersey before moving to Wall Township, New Jersey.  Emily retired from the State of New Jersey, Division of Right-Away.  Prior to that, she worked for Pittenger Builders.  Emily was a member of the Salem Lutheran Church in Orlando, Florida and a former member of Holy Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Manasquan, New Jersey.  She had a passion for cooking and knack for sewing.   Along with her husband, Joseph, Emily cherished her time traveling along the Eastern Seaboard. 

Emily was predeceased by her husband, Joseph in 1989; and two brothers, Phillip Walton and John Walton.  She is survived by her daughter, Jo Ann B. Hart of Orlando, Florida; twin brothers, William Walton and his wife, Joyce of Morganville, North Carolina and Alan Walton and his wife, Barbara of Toms River, New Jersey; a nephew, William; and a niece, Cynthia.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her 11:00 AM graveside funeral service on Thursday, March 7, 2019 at Evergreen Cemetery, Route 524 and West Farms Road, Farmingdale, New Jersey.  A memorial service will be held at the Salem Lutheran Church, 7900 South Apopka Vineland Road, Orlando, Florida 32819 with a date and time to be announced.  For those who desire memorial contributions may be made to the church.  For information, directions or condolence messages to the family, visit www.claytonfuneralhome.com.
