Obituary of Ruth Field Humphreys

Ruth Field Humphreys, 85, of Jackson passed away on Friday, March 15, 2019 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township.  Almost a lifelong resident of New Jersey, she was born in Bogota, raised in Hackensack, and lived in Ridgewood before settling in Jackson over 20 years ago.  Ruth was a member of the Jackson Republican Club, Ridgewood Womans Club, and Upper Ridgewood Tennis Club.  Prior to becoming a full-time mom, Ruth was a model and actress in the theater.  She was also a fan of all Boston sports teams and loved her cats.   

Ruth is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Robert Humphreys, Jr. of Jackson; sons, Robert Humphreys, III of Alta, CA, David Humphreys of NY, and Andrew Humphreys of Newtown, PA; three nieces; and three nephews.
