Obituary of Bernard A. Veglia
Bernard A. Veglia, 79, of Freehold Township passed away on Monday, March 18, 2019 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. He was born and raised in the Bronx, and had lived in Old Bridge and Queens before settling here in 1985. After serving in the Navy during the Vietnam War, Bernard was the manager of his own consulting firm and managed multiple car dealerships throughout New Jersey. He was a Giants, Yankee and Ranger fan, as well as a horse racing enthusiast. Bernard could often be found on the computer either playing games or discussing politics. More than anything, he loved being a father and grandfather.
Bernard is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Marlene Veglia of Freehold Township; sons, Matthew Veglia of Point Pleasant and Michael Veglia of Freehold Township; four grandchildren, Rebecca, Melissa, Matthew and Leah; and one sister, Lynn Ventura of Poughkeepsie, NY.
A Gathering of Friends will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Sunday, March 24, 2019 from 12:00 to 3:30 PM followed by Words of Remembrance.
