Obituary of Marvin Schulman

Marvin Schulman, 84, of Monroe Township passed away on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at home.  He was born and raised in the Bronx and had lived in Brooklyn, Monroe, NY, and Howell before settling in Monroe Township, New Jersey in 2014.  Marvin worked as a chemical engineer for General Foods for over 30 years. He was an active member at Monroe Village as well as an editor for the Monroe Village Magazine. Marvin was passionate about Memorial Day and organized events for the veterans while living in The Villages and Monroe Village.  He also loved to march in the holiday parades.  Marvin enjoyed going to flea markets and making homemade wine.  Most importantly, he enjoyed spending time with his family. 

Marvin was predeceased by his brother, Paul Schulman and sister, Ruth Burkwitt. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Renee Schulman of Monroe Township; sister, Gloria Slobin; children, Cathy Schear of Howell, Debbie O’Rourke and her husband, Tom of Georgia; Donna Rubin and her husband, Allan of Princeton, and Kitt Schulman and his wife, Sondra of Howell; grandchildren, Dan, Robert, Andrew, Sharon, Eli, Jonah, and Danielle; and great grandchildren, Abigail, Deanna, Brittany, and Christopher.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather for his funeral service at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at 1:30 PM.  Interment will follow in Beth Olam Memorial Park, Route 70 West, Lakewood.
