Obituary of Margaret Brandt

Margaret “Peggy” Brandt, 88, of Howell passed away with her loving family by her side on Friday, April 5, 2019.  She was born and raised in Brooklyn where she remained until moving to Howell six years ago.  Peggy was a paraprofessional for the NYC Board of Education for twenty five years.  She was a parishioner of Mary Queen of Heaven Church in Brooklyn, as well as a fan of the NY Mets, and enjoyed bingo and bowling. 

Peggy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Frank Brandt in 1978.  She is survived by her son, John Brandt and his wife, Anne of Union; daughters, Catherine Rosen and her husband, Mitch and Margaret Windels and her husband, Jim, all of Freehold Township; grandchildren, Christopher Brandt and his wife, Jen, Jennifer Stratton and her husband, Keith, Tara Pollifrone and her husband, Domenick, Brian Brandt, James Windels, Danielle Mahon, Ryan Windels, Meaghan Brandt and Courtney Windels; and great grandchildren, Audrey, Jack and Charlotte.

The family would like to take this opportunity to thank the staff at Brandywine Assisted Living for their love and care of their mom for the past six years. 

Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Sunday, April 7, 2019 from 12:00 to 4:00 PM.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend her 11:30 AM Funeral Mass on Monday, April 8, 2019 at Mary Queen of Heaven Church, 1394 East 56th Street, Brooklyn. Interment will follow in Green-Wood Cemetery, 500 25th Street, Brooklyn.  For those who desire, memorial contributions in Peggy’s name may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N. Michigan Avenue, Chicago, IL 60601.
