Condolences
Rest in Peace Tommy.
I had the pleasure of working with you in Highway Patrol and with your leadership showed me the way when I was a rookie. Not only did I work with a great man, but I also had the opportunity to play for 20 years on the Team he loved. I played with a lot of players that you played with and heard a lot about your greatness on and off the field.
I'm proud to follow your footsteps, from the Highway days to the football fields.
Till will meet again Brother
Godspeed

On behalf of the New York's Finest Football Alumni, our condolences to Tom's family.
Tommy played a major role in the Finest's success in our early years. He was voted the team's MVP after a great 1977 season. Tough, strong, big and fast, Tom was an unstoppable defensive middle guard.
And, a great friend and teammate.
He will be missed.
My prayers, love and condolences are with your entire family. Try to hold on to the love Thomas had for all of you and keep his smile forever in your hearts.
Condolances. I played with Tommy on the Brooklyn Mariners and the Finest Football Team. Tom was a Charter Member of the Finest Team. He was a rock in the middle of our defense and it was always a pleasure to have him as part of the post game "huddles". Our nickname for Tommy was "The Cement Man" . Tommy could have been the posterboy for what a Highway Cop should look like.
My deepest condolences to Tom"s Family. I played on the NYPD football Team with Tom. I played middle linebacker right behind Tom and couldn't believe the strength he had. He Was my roommate when we played in Atlanta . We worked in adjoining Percent's and would sometimes meet on the border and have coffee together . When we retired we sometimes worked together in clubs on 3 Ave in Brooklyn. Tom was a gentle Giant .I will truly miss him. Rest in peace my brother.
Our condolences to the family, we loved Tuma from Nick and Catherine Romeo from Giana Bella's ristorante

New York's Finest Football Alumni:
Tommy Ventriglio was one of the all time great players and a charter member of our team. He played his position, nose guard, as fierce as anyone could. We could always count on Tommy to make a game changing play.
Rest in peace, Tom, it was good to know you, and coach you.
Joe Loughran

Sorry to hear about Toms passing. I worked a Tommy in the 80’s in Hwy #2. I will always remember making fun to the size of his hands which were the size of a baseball glove. RIP Tommy until we meet again
Bob Burns
NYPD/Retired.
I remember coming over to the Ventriglio’s since kindergarten and EVERY time Tommy would see me he would yell, “Johnny San Francisco” and give me a big hug and kiss on the cheek. Whether we were taking rides in his legendary Chevy Blazer, or sitting out by his pristine pool, Tom would tell us the best stories, always capping it off with a valuable life lesson. I still have my America The Beautiful Landscaping Shirt from our first real job from when we were boys. Tom made a big impact in my life and so many others and he will surely be missed.
We are so very sorry for your loss! May be test in eternal peace. May God bless you all and Grant you the strength in your time of mourning.
How fortunate to have met Tom last November at Steve and Trisha's wedding. May he rest in peace.
My sincerest condolences to all.. heartbroken to hear of Tommy's passing. My husband Joe and I met Tommy in October 1967 when we moved to East 16th Street in Brooklyn. All of us young, full of hopes, dreams, love and laughter. Memories abound of Tommy outside washing his car, dog at his feet, and the back and forth joking and laughter he and Joe shared. Joe passed away in 2015.. too soon, too young, and hearing about Tommy breaks my heart.. another wonderful guy gone too soon.
My love to all.. I know he will be in God's arms for eternity .
Jamie and family,
I am deeply sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. God bless.
