Obituary of Anthony F. DiDonato

Anthony F. DiDonato, 82, of Farmingdale passed away at home on Saturday, April 27, 2019.  Tony was born and raised in Newark.  In 1950, he moved to Eatontown and then settled in Farmingdale in 2001.  Tony retired from the Army National Guard of New Jersey with over forty-two years of dedicated service.  Along with his son, Michael, he owned and operated D&D Roofing and Siding, Eatontown.  Tony retired as a food service supervisor from the State of New Jersey working at the State Police Training Facility in Sea Girt and John L. Montgomery Care Center in Freehold.  In retirement, he continued to work in the food industry at Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson.  Tony had a passion for the game of bowling, and had bowled at Shore Lanes on the Neptune Raiders Team.  He was also a former Scout Master of Troop 36, Wayside.

Tony was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Rose (nee Vitello) DiDonato and two sisters, Marie Zguro and Immaculate DiLello.  He is survived by his children, Michael DiDonato and his wife, Lynn of Neptune, Loretta Hunt and her husband, David of Wall, Lisa Merrigan and her husband, Craig of Brick, Kameron DiDonato of Farmingdale and Emeril DiDonato of Farmingdale; six grandchildren, Michael DiDonato II and his wife, Jenn, Robin DiDonato and her husband, Tom Warwick, Anthony DiDonato, Julie DiDonato, David Hunt II, Natasha Liotta and her husband, Adam; nine great grandchildren, Damien, Piper, Michelle, Marissa, Mya, Zachary, Gregory, Emily, and Jeffery; his former wives, Lolita DiDonato and Carolyn DiDonato; and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his committal services at the Brig. Gen. William C.
