Obituary of Bansi Lal Malhotra

Bansi Lal Malhotra, 87, of Freehold Township, passed away surrounded by his family on Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at Arnold Walter Nursing Home, Hazlet. Bansi Lal was born, raised and lived in Pind Dadan Khan, British India (now Pakistan) where he received his Bachelor's degree in accounting and had started his accounting career. He lived in Kabul, Afghanistan for ten years working for the U.S. State Department, AID. Bansi Lal then traveled to Wales, Great Britain to develop his accounting trade. He came to the United States in 1971 settling in Queens, NY where for over 20 years, he raised his family and worked as an accountant for many businesses most notably as an assistant controller for Kings County Hospital, Brooklyn. Bansi Lal retired in 1993 and with his wife, moved to Freehold Township. He was a devoted Hindu. Bansi Lal was predeceased by his wife of 62 years, Santosh in August of 2011. He is survived by his children, Raj Malhotra and his wife, Rupa of Bel Air, MD, Bala Sahni and her husband, Kapal of Middletown, NJ, Vimal Malhotra and his wife, Neeru of Freehold Township, NJ and Suman Anand and her husband, Vinod of Red Hook NY; ten grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Visiting at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Thursday, October 25, 2012 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM. Relatives and friends may gather for his 1:00 PM cremation service at Franklin Memorial Park, 1800 Route 27 (Lincoln Highway), North Brunswick, NJ on Friday, October 26, 2012.
