Obituary of Frances C. Guerra

Frances C. Guerra (nee Puca), 75, of Howell passed away on Friday, May 10, 2019 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune.  Frances was a native of Staten Island and was born in Mariners Harbor.  Frances lived in West Brighton before moving to Howell in 2012.    Frances loved to crochet and had donated many of her works to disabled veterans and the homeless.  She enjoyed arts and crafts, and could always be found in the kitchen, either cooking or baking for her beloved family and friends.

Frances was predeceased by her husband, Gaetano A. “Cuz” Guerra, Sr.; a son, Anthony Guerra; and her parents, Antimo and Concetta Puca.   She is survived by three sons, Frank Guerra of Hamilton, NJ, Joseph Guerra, Sr. and his wife, Danielle of Long Beach, NY, and Gaetano “Tom” Guerra and his wife, Gina of Howell, NJ; ten grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; a brother, Carl Puca and his wife, Aggie of Old Bridge, NJ; a nephew; and a niece.

A gathering will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend her 10:15 AM Funeral Mass on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at St. Michaels Catholic Church, 207 Harbor Road, Staten Island, NY 10303.   Inurnment will follow in St. Peter’s Catholic Cemetery, Staten Island, NY.  In lieu of flowers, donations to Wounded Warriors Project, P.
