Obituary of Mariana C. Sardonia

Mariana C. Sardonia, 25, of Farmingdale passed away on Wednesday, May 29, 2019.  Born in Neptune, Mariana was a lifelong resident of Howell.  During her childhood, Mariana was a member of the 4H Agricultural Club and an altar server at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church.  She enjoyed the great outdoors, especially hiking and fishing.  In her adult life, she battled a disease that has claimed too many; an addiction to opiates that she tried hard to beat but relapsed.  Mariana’s life was defined by more than her addiction …she was adored by her parents and was a wonderful mother who loved her daughter deeply.  Her family will treasure the memories of her too-short life and will keep her memory alive. 

Mariana was preceded in death by her brother, Dominic Sardonia in 1998.  She is survived by her loving parents, Joseph and Lucy Sardonia of Farmingdale; her beautiful daughter, Daniella Tortorello; and extended family.

Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Monday, June 3, 2019 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend her 10:00 AM Funeral Mass on Tuesday, June 4, 2019 at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 31 Asbury Road, Farmingdale.  Interment will be private.  For those who desire, contributions in her memory may be made to PTSD Foundation, 9724 Derrington Road, Houston, TX 77064.  For information, directions or condolence messages to the family, visit www.claytonfuneralhome.com
