Please find comfort in knowing that our Heavenly Father hears and is listening to your prayers for comfort and truly understands the depth of your grief and loss. "God is close to the brokenhearted; he saves those who are crushed in spirit.”—Psalm 34:18, 19. When on earth, Jesus himself cried when he saw the grief that his friends Martha and Mary experienced at the death of their brother, Lazarus. (John 11:35). Their pain moved him to resurrect Lazarus. Everyone was so joyful at having Lazarus back alive with them. Hopefully this example gives you assurance that he will also resurrect Cole. Jesus talked about this hope in John 5:28, “… all those in the memorial tomb will hear his voice and come out.”
