Obituary of Theresa E. Strawinski

Theresa E. Strawinski, 87, of Howell passed away at home surrounded by her family on Tuesday, June 25, 2019. She was born in France and lived throughout Europe during the Nazi occupation. Along with her family, Theresa fled to America in 1942 and had lived in Manhattan until settling in Howell in 1968.  She was a wonderful homemaker and loved to cook, especially her Polish chicken soup.  Theresa enjoyed fashion, was always well dressed, and proudly spoke four different languages. She also liked to collect art, watch Turner Classic Movies, spend time in Florida in the winter months, and going to art shows.

Theresa is survived by her daughter, Helena Strawinski of Howell; son, Stefan Strawinski and his wife, Diane of Manchester; and her grandchildren, Stefan and Shannon.

A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Monday, July 1, 2019 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM with her funeral service to follow at 12:00 PM.  Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Lakewood.  For information, directions, or condolence messages to the family, visit www.claytonfuneralhome.com.
