Obituary of Kurt David Hohmeier
Kurt David Hohmeier, 61, of Farmingdale passed away on Thursday, June 27, 2019 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. He was born in Linden, raised in Colts Neck and Lincroft, and settled in Farmingdale in 2000. Kurt worked as a diesel mechanic for Manalapan Township Department of Public Works for 14 years. He enjoyed driving and was always up for a road trip. Kurt was a hardworking handyman and able to fix anything. Most of all, he loved to cheer on his children, especially at swim meets and motocross races.
Kurt was predeceased by his father, John “Jack” Hohmeier and brother, Jack Hohmeier, Jr. He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Joette Hohmeier of Farmingdale; children, Nicole Smith of Howell and Garrett Hohmeier of Farmingdale; mother, Martha Hohmeier of Wall; and siblings, Wayne Hohmeier of Painter, VA and Wendy Pearce of Wall.
A memorial gathering will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Sunday, June 30, 2019 from 12:00 to 3:30 PM with his memorial service at 3:30 PM.
