Obituary of Mario Dell'Anno
Mario Dell’Anno, 78, of Tinton Falls passed away surrounded by his family on Thursday, July 4, 2019. Born and raised in Fort Greene, Brooklyn, he was a longtime resident of Staten Island, and had lived in Holmdel before settling in Tinton Falls in 2018. His life’s journey was one of distinction and accomplishment. Mario served in the United States Army and then later started his business, R & M Richards where he served as CEO for over 28 years. For the past 10 years Mario also operated Pazzo in Red Bank, a venture he ran with his wife and sons. Mario enjoyed trips to Atlantic City, Las Vegas and the Bahamas and was a fan of Frank Sinatra and the New York Mets. More than anything, he treasured his grandchildren.
Mario was preceded in death by his brothers, Salvatore Dell’Anno and Father Anthony Dell’Anno; and brother-in-law, Joseph Esposito. He leaves behind his loving wife of 52 years, Marie Dell’Anno of Tinton Falls; sons, Robert Dell’Anno and his wife, Kathy, and Richard Dell’Anno and his wife, Cathy, all of Colts Neck; seven grandchildren, Robert, Jr., Michael, Christopher, AJ, Nicolette, Christina and Sophia; and two sisters, Ann Esposito and Marie Dell’Anno, both of Manhattan.
Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Monday, July 8, 2019 from 4:00 to 9:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his 9:15 AM Funeral Mass on Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at St. Catharine’s Church, 108 Middletown Road, Holmdel. Entombment will follow in St. Gabriel’s Cemetery & Chapel Mausoleum, Route 520, Marlboro.
