Obituary of Kenneth John Messink
Kenneth “Kenny” Messink, 56, of Manalapan, NJ passed away Saturday, July 6 at home with his family by his side. He was born on May 9, 1963 in Brooklyn, NY. He grew up in Marlboro, NJ before marrying his wife, Maurine, and settling in to their Manalapan, NJ home, where he enjoyed raising his 5 children. Over the past year and a half, Kenny fought a brave battle against a rare blood cancer which he finally succumbed to. Kenny was a loving husband, father, brother and son who placed a very high value on family, friends, entertaining, and just having fun. He fought his battle against the cancer not for himself, but for those he loved, and who loved him dearly. If you knew him you know that anyone was welcomed into his home and treated like family. He was a very generous, loving, and giving man and anyone who ever met him loved him and will never forget him. He loved football, golf, music, dancing, and singing, but most of all he loved sharing those things with friends and family. He was always the life of the party. He lived life to the fullest and would give you the shirt off his back if he could. Kenny will live on through all of the great memories that we had with him, and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
He was the beloved husband of Maurine (Boyle); devoted father of Ryan, Jessica, Luke, Nicholas and Sarah; cherished son of Maria (Lopez) and the late William Messink; and dear brother of Michael Messink and his wife, Barbara and their children, Jennifer, Nicole, and Michael William.
