Obituary of Angelina Tsokris

Angelina Tsokris, 91, of Freehold Township passed away at home on Sunday, August 18, 2019. She was born and raised in New York City and settled in Freehold Township in 1962. Angelina was a furrier for Dubrowsky and Joseph in New York City for most of her career and retired in 1991. She was devoted to her church, loved sewing, and was an amazing “yiayia” to her grandkids.

Angelina was predeceased by her brother, Michael Sarantis; sister, Irene Marmarinos; and brother-in-law, Mike Marmarinos. She is survived by her adoring husband of 70 years, Nikitas Tsokris; daughter, Lea Tsokris of Staten Island, NY; two grandsons, Michael Shane Bonner and Christopher Bonner, both of Staten Island, NY; sister-in-law, Maria Sarantis of Queens, NY; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A gathering will be held at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 1033 West Park Avenue, Ocean Township on Friday, August 23, 2019 at 10:00 AM, with her funeral service to follow at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, 4199 Webster Ave, Bronx, NY.
