Obituary of John J. Vaccaro
John J. Vaccaro, 70, of Howell passed away on Saturday, August 31, 2019 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank after a life well lived. John was born, raised and had resided in Brooklyn and Freehold prior to moving to Howell in 1999. After serving his Country proudly in the Navy during the Vietnam War, he worked as a stockbroker for CIBC World Markets and was a member of the New York Stock Exchange for over 40 years.
John was an enthusiastic NY Giants and NY Yankees fan, and volunteered his time with the Freehold Soccer League. In Brooklyn, he was a member of the Knights of Columbus, T.A.C. and the St. Athanasius Theater Guild. John’s children were the center of his universe and he loved them with all his heart.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Lucy Vaccaro. John is survived by his loving wife, Kimberly A. Vaccaro of Howell; five children, Barbara Jackson and her husband, Scott of Denver, CO; John Joseph “J.J.” Vaccaro and his wife, Kelly of Freehold Township; Joseph Anthony Vaccaro and his wife, Chrissy of Jersey City, Jenna Vaccaro of Howell and Andrew Vaccaro of Howell; two granddaughters, Aubrey and Hailey; two brothers, Michael Vaccaro and his wife, Simonne of Neptune City, and Joseph Vaccaro and his wife, Linda of Freehold Township; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Tuesday, September 3, 2019 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his 10:00 AM Funeral Mass on Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at the Co-Cathedral of St. Robert Bellarmine, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Township.
