Obituary of Jeffrey Lloyd
Jeffrey Edmonds Lloyd, 73, of Colts Neck passed away on Monday, September 2, 2019 at Morristown Medical Center, Morristown. He was born in Elizabeth, raised in Cranford and lived in Clark before settling here in 1981. A self-made man, Jeffrey owned Marlboro Motors for the past 15 years and was a classic cars enthusiast. He was the lead singer and played guitar in his band the Cadillac Cowboys for 50 years. Jeffrey spent time boating, traveling and was a history buff. He was a loving husband and father and a dedicated grandfather.
He was predeceased by his son, Wayne Lloyd in 2018. Jeffrey is survived by his wife of 53 years, Iris Lee Lloyd of Colts Neck; five children, Greg Lloyd and his wife, Josephine of Jackson, Ali Wilcox and her husband, Peter of Freehold Township, Jeffrey Lloyd II and his wife, Anne-Marie of Freehold Township, Justin G. Lloyd of Freehold Borough, and Julia Calantoni and her husband, Brian of Edison; daughter-in-law, Melody Lloyd of Freehold Township; ten grandchildren, Zachary, Tristin, Cassidy, Jack, Emily, Owen, Anthony, Avery, Hope and Jake; brother, Mike and his wife, Jo-Lynn and a nephew Michael H. Lloyd.
Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Monday, September 9, 2019 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his 10:00 AM funeral service at the funeral home on Tuesday, September 10, 2019. Interment will follow in St. Gabriel’s Cemetery & Chapel Mausoleum, Marlboro.
