Obituary of Lillian Chillemi

Lillian “Betty” Chillemi, 87, of Freehold passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, September 15, 2019. She was born and raised in the Eltingville section of Staten Island, lived in Jackson and Marlboro, and then settled in Freehold in 2009. Lillian was a bus driver for 6 years for the Jameson Bus Company. She loved horse riding, barrel racing, and going out to dinner exploring new restaurants whenever she could. Lillian loved to travel the world and had many amazing experiences with her adoring husband. She had the opportunity to cruise down the Nile River and got a special tour through Italy. Lillian was a family-oriented woman and was surrounded by a wonderful family.

She was predeceased by her son-in-law in 2017, Glen Yeo. Lillian is survived by her devoted husband of 47 years, Richard Chillemi of Freehold; two daughters, Linda Yeo of Manalapan, and Anne Griffith and her husband, Lizzard of Las Vegas; and two grandchildren, Jesse and Jenna Yeo.

Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Wednesday, September 18, 2019 from 5:00 to 9:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the Funeral Home on Thursday, September 19, 2019 at 10:15 AM for her 11:15 AM funeral mass at the Co-Cathedral of St. Robert Bellarmine, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold.
