Obituary of Gary Thomas Amatrudo, Jr.

Gary Thomas Amatrudo, Jr., 34, of Millstone Township passed away as the result of an automobile accident on Monday, September 16, 2019.  A lifelong resident of Millstone Township, Gary was a graduate of the Allentown High School where he competed on the football basketball and baseball teams.  He continued his education at Mercer County College where he was again a member of the baseball team.  Honored to be a part of a family with over 130 years of military service between his grandfather, father, uncles and brother, Gary was proud to serve his country and completed a tour in Afghanistan and Iraq with the United States Army, and was also a member of VFW Post 1072, Staten Island. 

He was predeceased by his grandfather, Emanuel “Kenny” Amatrudo in 2013.  Gary is survived by Jennifer Amatrudo; his son Gary “Trey” Amatrudo, III of Staten Island; his loving parents, Gary and Louise Amatrudo of Millstone; brothers, Joseph Amatrudo and his wife, Kelly of Newtown, PA, and Gregory Amatrudo and his wife, Meghan of Harrisburg, PA; two nephews, Joseph, Jr. and Jacob; grandmother, Rita Amatrudo of Staten Island; grandmother, Clara Bath of South Amboy; many aunts, uncles, and cousins with whom he shared special relationships with.

Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Friday, September 20, 2019 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend his 10:00 AM funeral service at the United Presbyterian Church of Millstone, 211 Millstone Road, Perrineville on Saturday, September 21, 2019.

Burial of Ashes will take place on Monday, September 23, 2019 at 2:30 PM in Brigadier General Wm. C. Doyle NJ Veterans Cemetery, 350 Province Line Road, Arneytown.  For those who desire, memorial contributions in memory of Gary may be made to Disabled American Veterans, Post Office Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250.
