Obituary of Pedro C. Rios

Pedro C. Rios, 81, of Jackson passed away at home on October 19, 2019. He was born in San Sebastian, Puerto Rico and moved to New Jersey in 1956 settling in Jackson.  He began his career farming sugar cane in Puerto Rico before moving to New Jersey where he worked as a concrete cast worker and livestock farmer.  His passion in life was his livestock farming.  Pedro was dedicated and disciplined in the care of his many animals and the operation of his farm.

He is survived by his partner for over 30 years, Darlene Devico; his daughter, Marci Layeski and her husband Steven of Jackson; as well as many brothers, sisters, and extended family.

Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Thursday, October 24, 2019 from 3:00 to 7:00 PM.  Interment will be private. For information, directions, or condolence messages to the family, please visit claytonfuneralhome.com
