Obituary of Jason Patrick Spero
Jason Spero, 40, of Freehold Township passed away at home on October 17, 2019. He was born in Freehold and was a lifelong resident of Freehold Township. Jason was a graduate of Freehold Township High School, class of 1998. He was an avid collector and seller of comic books and enjoyed cars/trucks. Jason loved to watch and attend NASCAR races and attended car/truck trade shows with his family. His favorite truck was the Ford Ranger. Jason also was a skilled restoration artist, repairing and restoring collectibles to museum quality. He attended Comic-Con and conventions to expand his personal collection annually. Jason often accompanied his parents as they vacationed across the U.S. and Caribbean.
He was predeceased by his parents, Michael A. and Patricia S. Spero. Jason is survived by his sister, Cynthia Spero of Pittsburg, PA; his brother, Michael J. Spero and his fiancé, Peggy Bonis of Audobon, PA; his brother Marcus and his wife Stephanie Spero of Media, PA; and his nieces and nephews, Jacob, Nicole, Kylie, and Regan. He also leaves behind many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Friday, October 25, 2019 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his 12:30 PM Memorial Service at the funeral home. Inurnment will follow in the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, 350 Province Line Road, Arneytown, NJ 08562.
