Obituary of Anna Hofmann
Anna Hofmann, 93, of Fairfax, VA passed away on Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at The Virginian, in Fairfax, VA. She was born in New York, NY and lived in Yonkers, NY for 60 years before moving to Fairfax, VA in 2012. Anna earned her B.A. degree from Hunter College in 1947, and worked at Pfizer and the Bronx Botanical Gardens before leaving to raise her family. She loved weaving, knitting, quilting, and excelled in photography, winning multiple awards. Anna was well read, generous, and had a great sense of fun. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and had an optimistic outlook on life.
Anna was predeceased by her husband, Harry Hofmann; sister, Mary Romashko; and brother, John Manchak. She is survived by her daughters, Linda Hofmann and her husband, Paul Kamienski of Oakton, VA, and Karen Perlman and her husband, Lowell of Tarrytown, NY; son, Roger Hofmann and his wife, Pam of San Francisco, CA; grandsons, Kyle Hofmann and his wife, Jennifer of San Diego, CA, Greg Perlman and his wife, Jessica of Croton-on-Hudson, NY, James Hofmann of San Francisco, CA, and Nicholas Perlman and his husband, Adri Ramdeane of New York, NY; granddaughter, Emily Kamienski of Oakton, VA; great granddaughters, Vivian Hofmann of San Diego, CA, Maeve Perlman of Croton-on-Hudson, NY, and Eleanor Hofmann of San Diego, CA; and great grandson, Oliver Hofmann of San Diego, CA.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her visitation at 10:00AM on November 2, 2019 at St. Mary Russian Orthodox Church, 316 Cassville Rd, Jackson Township, NJ 08527 with her Funeral Service to follow. Interment will follow in St. Vladimir’s Cemetery. All arrangements are under the direction of the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, Freehold Township.
