Obituary of Latius Lane

Latius Lane, 85, of Howell passed away at Jersey Shore University Medical Center on Monday, November 11, 2019. He was born and raised in Howell and had lived in Jackson, Toms River, and Asbury Park.  Latius was a truck driver for over 32 years for Woodhaven Lumber. He enjoyed spending time outdoors at home and could always be found relaxing on his porch.  Latius had a fondness for classic country music played on 45 and 33 vinyl records which he shared with his family.

He was predeceased by his wife, Dorothy Lane in 2003. Latius is survived by his children, Anthony Bruning of Toms River; Mark Bruning and his wife, Janet of Florida; Eugene Lane and his wife, Bonnie of Brick; five grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.

A Memorial Gathering will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Saturday, November 16, 2019 from 11:00AM to 12:00 PM. Inurnment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery, Howell. For those who desire, memorial contributions in Latius’ name can be made to the charity of your choice.
