Obituary of Anita Vogel
ANITA A. VOGEL, 70, of JACKSON, died Sunday, Nov. 25, at her residence. Mrs. Vogel was born in Andes, N.Y., and resided in Farmingdale until moving to Jackson in 1978. She was a partner with her late husband, Roger W. Vogel, in the management and operation of Holgate Property Associates in Jackson. Mrs. Vogel was the first member of the New Jersey Quarter Horse Association, and was a member of the Arabian Horse Association, as well as the American Horse Show Association. She was also a pistol enthusiast. She bred cattle and was an avid animal savior.
She was predeceased by her husband, Roger W. Vogel, in July 2006. Surviving are three sons and daughters-in-law, Roger W. "Billy" and Carol Vogel of Jackson, Jeffrey and Diane Vogel of Jackson, and Eric and Jean Vogel of Mill Hall, Pa.; three daughters and sons-in-law, Stephanie and Gary Rogers of Howell, Valerie and Johnnie Wright of Liberty, Ind., and Kelly Ann and Jason Horner of Manahawkin, Stafford; one sister, Brenda Jean Yuhas of Jackson; 17 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Visiting will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 p.m. until a funeral service at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township.
