Obituary of George Unkunow

"UNCLE" GEORGE SARAN UNKUNOW, 71, of JACKSON, died Tuesday, Nov. 27, at Atlantic Coast Rehab. & Health, Lakewood. Uncle George was born in Bulgaria and had lived in the Kensington area of Philadelphia and also Chicago, Ill. before moving to Jackson 15 years ago. He was a member of the Philadelphia Buddhist Temple. Uncle George was a carpenter in the Chicago area for many years. Uncle George was predeceased by his mother, Elizabeth Lalikoff, in 2001. Surviving are a brother, Sergey "Sam" Unkunow of Northport, Fla.; two sisters, Nadia Ubushin of Howell, and Lee Urubshurow of Jackson; and many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the Nitsan Temple, West 6th Street, Howell. Interment will follow in St. Vladimir's Cemetery, Jackson.
