Obituary of Phyllis M. Murdaco
Phyllis M. Murdaco, 49, of Freehold Borough passed away suddenly at home on December 1, 2019. She was born in New Brunswick and raised in North Brunswick and had lived in Old Bridge before moving to Freehold Borough in 2003. Phyllis was the front end manager at Shop N’ Bag in Farmingdale, prior to that she worked at Foodtown in Freehold Borough and Duferco Steel in Matawan. She was a diehard NY Jets fan and had a passion for cooking but most of all she loved being a mom.
Phyllis is survived by her husband of 16 years, Tony Murdaco; three children, Joey, Megan, and Anthony; parents, Philip and Joan Strasser of Lakewood; three sisters, Antoinette and her husband, Mike McCormick of Freehold Township, Christine Strasser of Englishtown, and Jenn and her husband, Larry Makfinsky of Manalapan; sister-in-law, Donna Corrado of Jackson and Linda Fortin of New Hampshire; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton Adelphia Road (Route 524), on Thursday, December 5, 2019 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM and Friday, December 6, 2019 from 5:00 to 9:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her 11:00 AM funeral service on Saturday, December 7, 2019 at the funeral home. Interment will be private.
