Obituary of AnnaJean Seker

AnnaJean “Ann” Seker, 76, of Jackson passed away at home on Thursday, December 5, 2019. Ann was born in Hazleton, PA, raised in Somerville, NJ, and moved to Freehold before settling here in 2018. She worked at the Monmouth County Court House for twenty-five years before retiring. Prior to that, Ann worked for the NJ Turnpike Authority and volunteered at the Somerville School System.  She was a parishioner of the Co-Cathedral of St. Robert Bellarmine.  Ann was active in the Silvermead community, where she was a past president, as well as past chairperson of the welcome committee and loved to play Bocce there.

Ann was predeceased by her husband, Eugene Robert “Bob” Seker and a brother, Nicholas Longo. She is survived by her four children, Sherise Buhagiar and her husband, John of Bayville; Michael Urban and his wife, Cristina of Monroe; Robert Urban and his wife, Kim of Freehold Township; and Therese Lugo and her husband, Anthony of Jackson. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Thursday, December 12, 2019 from 3:00 to 7:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home on Friday, December 13, 2019 at 9:00 AM for the procession to her 10:00 AM Funeral Mass at the Co-Cathedral of St. Robert Bellarmine, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Township. Interment will follow in the Brigadier General William C. Doyle New Jersey Veterans Cemetery, Arneytown.  For those who desire, memorial contributions may be made Susan G.
