Obituary of Maria Confuorto
Maria Confuorto, 92, of Freehold Township passed away at home on Saturday, December 7, 2019. Born in Acerra, Italy, Maria came to the United States in 1968 and lived in Jersey City, Bayonne and Hillsborough before settling here in 1993. She retired from the I.L.G.W.U. in Jersey City and was a member of Crossroads Assembly of God, Englishtown. Known as Nonna to those who loved her most, she loved to cook, bake and spend time with her family.
Maria leaves behind to mourn her passing three sons and a daughter, Nicola Confuorto and his wife, Joanne of Hillsborough, Achille Confuorto and his wife, Renita of Hillsborough, Gennaro Confuorto of Freehold Township, and Florinda Emanuele and her husband, Joseph of Freehold Township; ten grandchildren, Marisa Stettner and her husband, Robert, Nicholas R. Confuorto and his wife, Summer, Daniel V. Confuorto and his wife, Elizabeth, Achille R. Confuorto, Michael L. Confuorto, Andre J. Confuorto, Tanya Russo, Justin Confuorto, Maria Skinner and her husband, Ethan, and Charles Emanuele and his fiancée, Marissa Ramirez; four great grandchildren, Nicholas, Julia, Blake and Cara; and her special nephew, Achille Casella and his wife, Tiziana of Aberdeen along with their son, Gianluca.
Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Tuesday, December 10, 2019 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her 11:00 AM funeral service at the funeral home on Wednesday, December 11, 2019. Entombment will follow in Marlboro Memorial Cemetery & Mausoleum, Marlboro.
