Obituary of Frank Renna

Frank Renna, 89, of Colts Neck passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 7, 2019 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune.  Frank was born and raised in Brooklyn, spent some time in Sunrise, FL and settled in Freehold Township in 1991.  Until his retirement, he was a butcher at Glenn Prime Meats in Brooklyn.  Frank was a member of the Lions Club, as well as a parishioner of St. Bernard’s of Clairvaux Parish, both in Brooklyn. He was an avid Brooklyn Dodgers and New York Yankees fan, and he loved nothing more than traveling and cruising with his wife.  

Frank was predeceased by his loving wife of 60 years, Philomena “Frances” Renna in 2016.  He is survived by three children, Linda Sobel of Colts Neck, Steven Renna and his wife, Lisa of Manasquan, and Janet Alario and her husband, Charlie of Bradley Beach; eight grandchildren, Lauren, Jenna, Lindsey, Brianna, Austin, Anthony and his wife, Siobhan, Nancy and her husband, Ryan, and Linda and her husband, Kyle; and six great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Tuesday, December 10, 2019 from 3:00 to 7:00 PM.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend his 10:30 AM Funeral Mass on Wednesday, December 11, 2019 at St. Gabriel’s Historic Church, 549 Newman Springs Road, Marlboro.  Entombment will follow in St. Gabriel’s Cemetery & Chapel Mausoleum, Marlboro.  For those who desire, contributions in memory of Frank may be made to National Kidney Foundation, 30 East 33rd Street, New York, NY 10016.  For information, directions or condolence messages to the family, visit www.claytonfuneralhome.com
