Obituary of Doris M. Eisenmann
Doris Eisenmann, 93, of Whiting passed away on Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at her home. She was raised in the Olney section of Philadelphia and lived in New Hampshire and Illinois before settling in Freehold Township in 1967. Doris was a former member of the Ardena Baptist Church where she sang in the choir and took great pride in being a Sunday school teacher. She could be found on her chair in her living room knitting baby sweaters and crocheting scarves for her family that were passed down to different generations. Doris enjoyed being in her kitchen making her delicious recipes such as cinnamon buns and Christmas cookies. Some of her grandchildren’s fondest memories were making and eating their grandmother’s famous macaroni and cheese and gingerbread houses.
Doris was predeceased by her husband, Frederick A. Eisenmann; and her son, Dr. Richard Eisenmann. She is survived by her two sons, Frederick Eisenmann and his fiancée, Nancy Visocki, and Jeffrey Eisenmann and his wife Elaine; five grandchildren, Richard, Candice, Daniel, Kayla and Erick; and two great grandchildren, Grace and Luke.
Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Friday, December 13, 2019 from 4:00 to 7:30 PM with her funeral service to follow. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her 12:00 PM graveside service on Monday, December 16, 2019 at Forest Hills Cemetery, 101 Byberry Road, Philadelphia, PA.
