Obituary of Angelina Rose Kostulakos

Angelina Rose Kostulakos, 93, of Lakewood passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 18, 2019 in her home. She was born and raised in Newark and had lived in Parlin and Union before settling here in 2000. Angelina met Peter, the love of her life, when she was only 17 years old and she traveled to Oklahoma to marry him while he was enlisted in the U.S. Navy. She was a parishioner of Holy Family Parish and St. Mary of the Lake Church. Angelina was devoted to her husband, dedicated to her family and friends, and loved to take care of her grandchildren. She also enjoyed trips to Atlantic City and playing the slot machines. She was preceded in death by her brother, Joseph; five sisters, Michelina, Sr. Anastasia, Lucy, Loretta and Celeste; and her son-in-law, Wayne Bundy. Angelina is survived by her husband of 74 years, Peter Kostulakos; two daughters, Debra Bundy of Hillsborough; and Denise Regad and her husband, Michael of Howell; and three grandchildren, Cassie Bundy, Marissa Regad and Daniel Regad. Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Sunday, December 22, 2019 from 2:00 to 6:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her 10:30 AM Funeral Mass on Monday, December 23, 2019 at St. Mary of the Lake Church, 43 Madison Avenue, Lakewood. Interment will follow in Hollywood Memorial Park, Union. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Angelina’s name may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
