Obituary of Janice Elizabeth Dering

Janice Elizabeth Dering, 68, of Jackson passed away on Friday, December 27, 2019 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Franklin, raised in Sussex and lived in Fords before settling in Jackson in 2005. Janice was an avid gardener, planting and tending to her garden daily. She had a love for traveling, going to Atlantic City, Las Vegas, and family destinations. Janice was passionate about spending time with her kids and grandchildren. Above all else, she was a loving wife, mother, and grandma. She was predeceased by her parents, George and Kathleen (Strawbridge) Simmons. Janice is survived by her adoring husband of 49 years, William “Bill” Dering; daughters, Michelle Lubaczewski and her husband, Craig of South Carolina, and Mary Gamba and her husband, Bill of Westfield; four grandchildren, Courtney, Ryan, Will, and Joey; siblings, Diana Davey of Wantage, Jean Redd of Deer Park, Texas, Ben Simmons of Wantage, and Carolyn Morris of Fancy Gap, Virginia. All arrangements are under the direction of the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, Freehold Township. A graveside service will take place in Clove Cemetery, 915 New Jersey 23, Wantage, New Jersey on January 4, 2020 at 11:00 AM.
