Obituary of Melvin Charles Worth
Melvin Charles Worth, 77, of Jackson passed away on Friday, December 27, 2019 at CentraState Medical Center. He was born in Neptune and raised in Freehold before settling in Jackson in 2005. Melvin was an office manager for Branning Collision in Freehold for many years before retiring about ten years ago. He was an active member with the Boy Scouts, a member of the Farmingdale Grange and Patron of the Junior Grange. Melvin bravely served in the United States Army. He had a love for traveling, especially to Germany with his wife and family.
Melvin was predeceased by his father, Melvin Worth in 1947, and stepfather, Raymond Roe in 1981. He is survived by his devoted wife of 56 years, Renate Worth of Jackson; children, Brian C. Worth and his wife, Joyce of Virginia, Lisa A. Feggulis and her husband, Gus of South River, and John F. Worth and his wife, Cheryl of Ohio; grandchildren, Brian Jr., Alyssa, Vikki and her husband, Eric, Amalia, Sofia, Eleni, Kiersten, Billy, and Andrew; great grandchild, Ariella; mother, Helen Roe of Freehold; sister, Linda M. Smith of Freehold; brother, Raymond A. Roe of Freehold; many nieces and nephews; and faithful furry friends Taylor, Indy, and Nova.
A memorial gathering of friends will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Friday, January 3, 2020 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM.
