Obituary of Raffaele Servello
Raffaele “Lillino” Servello, 80, of Freehold Township passed away on Friday, January 3, 2020 at CentraState Medical Center. Ralph was born in Cetraro, Italy and came to the United States in 1956 settling in Elizabeth. He then moved to Freehold Township in 1964. He was a carpenter with Union Local 2250 out of Red Bank for over 40 years until his retirement in 2004. He was a former member of the Vallatese Association Club in Elizabeth, as well as a volunteer with the Freehold Township Independent Fire Company #1. A true carpenter, Ralph enjoyed building things and working with his hands. He relished tending to his garden and cutting the grass. Along with his wife, Ralph loved spending time in Colorado with his family and being called “Poppy”
He was predeceased by his parents, Vincenzo and Rosina Servello; and brother, Frank Servello. Ralph is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Rosalind M. Servello of Freehold; children, Linda Byster of Windsor, CO, Vincent Servello of Littleton, CO, Josette Tirpak and her husband, Frank of Patriot, OH, Tina Servello-Kelly and her husband, Chris of Erie, CO, Michele Servello of Thornton, CO; ten grandchildren; four greatgrandchildren; and his siblings, Armando Servello and his wife Anna, and Marisa Servello, both of Italy.
Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Wednesday, January 8, 2020 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM with his funeral service to follow at 4:00 PM.
