Obituary of Wilfred O. Jackson

Wilfred Jackson, 88, of Howell passed away on Thursday, January 16, 2020 at CareOne, Wall. He was born in Barrouallie, Saint Vincent in the West Indies and then moved to Guyana in the 1950’s where he married and had five children. In 1974 he moved to the United States and after a divorce, he raised his five children on his own. Wilfred lived in Brooklyn before settling in Howell in 2013. He worked as a messenger for Bankers Trust in New York City for 16 years, retiring in 1992. Wilfred attended Calvary Lighthouse in Lakewood and always had words of wisdom to share. Most of all he loved spending time with his family. Wilfred is survived by his five children, Tyrone Jackson and his wife, Felice of Long Island, New York, Nigel Jackson and his wife, Shelly of Long Island, New York, Karren Jackson-Tull and her husband, Patrick of Howell, Collette Jackson-Howell and her husband, Tony of Howell, and Michelle Jackson-Saul and her husband, Keel of Teaneck; twelve grandchildren, Michelle Jackson, Kelly Jackson-Sutton and her husband, Daniel, Kathleen Jackson, Michael Steven Jackson, Shannon Tull, Kevin Jackson, Gabrielle Tull, Timothy Tull, Jessica Tull, Kameron Saul, Nicholas Howell, and Shawn Howell; siblings, Leroy Jackson of Saint Vincent and Leonie Jackson of Brooklyn; and many friends and extended family members. A visitation will be held on Sunday, January 19, 2020 from to 4:00 to 5:00 PM at the Transformation Life Church, 190 Valley Blvd, Wood-Ridge with his funeral service to follow at 5:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Monday, January 20, 2020 at 9:30 AM at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township for the procession to Maplewood Cemetery, Freehold Township.
