Obituary of Concetta Marie Fiore
Concetta Marie Fiore, 72, of Port Chester, New York passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, January 20, 2020. She was born and raised in Port Chester, living most of her life in the town and community. After her husband passed in 2018, she moved and settled in Jackson, NJ to be closer to family. “Chet,” as she was fondly known to family and friends, spent her professional life in the medical community, beginning her career as a registered nurse and eventually rising to the level of a hospital executive. After her tenure as the Vice President of Nursing at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Yonkers, she devoted her time to the non-profit community serving as the Executive Director of Family Services of Westchester in Pelham and working for the Visiting Nurse Association. She was a lifelong learner and obtained the highest level of education in her field, earning three Master’s degrees — a Master’s in both Nursing and Pastoral Counseling from Iona College and an MBA from Pace University. She lived her life caring for others and enjoying time with friends and family. Above all, she was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Concetta was predeceased by her husband of 40 years, Victor in 2018. She is survived by her son, Eddie McDonnell and his wife, Maddy of Freehold, NJ; grandchildren, Isabella and Charlie; stepdaughters, Victoria McKinney and her husband, Kevan, of Rye Brook, NY and their children Cody of New York, NY and Sean of Stamford, CT; Tracy Fiore and her son, Tyler of Dixon, CA; Liane Fiore and her fiancé, Al Riccobono, and their children Zachery and Jackson of West Harrison, NY. As an only child, Chet was also surrounded by her many cousins and close friends throughout her life.
