Obituary of Marian V. D'Adamo
Marian V. D’Adamo, 97, passed away on Friday, February 14, 2020 at CentraState Medical Center in Freehold Township. She was born and raised in Brooklyn, and had lived in Dania Beach, FL before settling here in 2012. Marian worked as a seamstress for the ILGWU and taught for Singer Sewing Company in Brooklyn. She enjoyed playing cards and the piano, and you could always find her watching Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune.
Marian is predeceased by her husband, Salvatore A. D’Adamo; her son, Salvatore D. D’Adamo; and her two brothers, Anthony Cotroneo and Dominick Cotroneo. She is survived by her children; James D. D’Adamo and his wife, Victoria Macchio of Freehold Township and Marianne Triano and her husband Salvatore of Freehold Township; grandchildren, Christina Zuccaro and her husband, Phillip of Staten Island, NY, James N. D’Adamo and his wife, Thea of Brooklyn, Tiffany Colela and her husband, Gino of Freehold Township and Brittany Sciuto and her husband, Anthony of Howell; four great grandchildren; Nicholas, Sienna, Gia and Bella; and her sister, Sara Baldino of Florida.
Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Sunday, February 16, 2020 from 9:00 to 10:30 AM with her funeral service to follow. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Marian’s name may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
