Obituary of Carol A. Negron
Carol A. Negron, 77, of Queens passed away on Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center surrounded by her family. She was a lifelong resident of Queens. Carol was a cook for SS Joachim & Anne in Queens Village, where she worked for 30 years. She was an HBQVB Little League Softball coach for 10 years. Carol was truly selfless and enjoyed helping and taking care of others. Through her job at the Church, she helped and fed so many people. She loved making sauce, having pancake parties, and cherished movie/dress up night with her grandkids. Carol liked to tend to her garden and loved animals. She shared her love with everyone she met and did little things to make others feel special. Carol was loved by all the children on block 217 Lane in Queens and was known as the neighborhood mother. Carol enjoyed playing the horses with her brother at OTB. She was a true fighter, becoming a Breast Cancer Survivor. Above all, she was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, and great grandmother.
Carol was predeceased by her beloved husband, Pedro “Pete” Negron in 1995; sister, Joan Dicataldo; and daughter-in-law, Sandra Negron in 2018. She is survived by her son, Peter and his wife, Marysol of Pataskala, OH, Joanne Negron of Howell, NJ, Jim Negron of Columbus, OH, and Nancy Castillo of Grove City, OH; nine grandchildren, Jimmy, Christina, Yasmine, Siobhan, Yehira, Steven, Mellisa, Stefanie, and Matthew; four great grandchildren, Devin, Brandon, Troy, and Lucas; two sisters, Patricia Martinez and her husband, Fred of Clearwater, FL, Margarette Linkus and her husband, George of Wantach, NY; and one brother, Joseph Daly of Queens, NY.
Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Friday, February 21, 2020 from 3:00 to 7:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her 11:00 AM funeral service on Saturday, February 22, 2020 at the funeral home. Interment will be private.
