Obituary of Ryan Fintan O'Donoghue
Ryan Fintan O’Donoghue “OD”, 19, of Freehold Township passed away unexpectedly on Monday, April 13, 2020. A lifelong resident of Freehold Township, he was a graduate of the Freehold Township High School Class of 2019. Ryan was continuing his education at Rowan University where he was studying emergency response and disaster management, and was also a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity.
Ryan excelled at sports, having played football, basketball and lacrosse. Recently, he had a newfound passion for golf and skiing. Ryan was an amazing young man who meant the world to so many; he was a source of great love and brought tremendous happiness to his family. Ryan will be remembered for his loyalty to his friends, his contagious smile and his kind soul.
Ryan leaves behind to mourn his passing his parents, Fintan and Kathy O’Donoghue; sisters, Breinne O’Donoghue and Ciara O’Donoghue; maternal grandmother, Alice Brown of Hamburg, NJ; paternal grandfather, Seamus O’Donoghue of Dublin, Ireland; many loving aunts, uncles and cousins; and friends too numerous to count.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, an outdoor visitation will be held providing an opportunity for Ryan’s relatives and friends to drive past his casket and share condolences with his family at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Thursday, April 16, 2020 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM with his funeral service to follow at 4:15 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to participate via Webcast through the Funeral Home Website. Interment will be private.
