Obituary of Julia Liali
Julia Liali, 83, of Freehold passed away on Thursday, April 16, 2020 at CentraState Medical Center. She was born and raised in Brooklyn and settled in Freehold in 1992. Julia was a bank clerk for over 25 years at Dime Savings Bank in Brooklyn. She loved doing needle point, which created beautiful wall art. Julia also enjoyed playing cards and bingo at her Surrey Downs clubhouse, and on vacations with her family. She was a devoted life-long fan of the New York Mets (her Metsies). Never known to complain, Julia was a special woman with a big heart. She will remembered as a loving wife and mother, and will truly be missed by all of her family and friends.
She was predeceased by her parents, Marco and Tessie D’Andrea; and her son, Paul Liali. Julia is survived by her beloved husband of 64 years, Vincent Liali; three daughters, Concetta “Connie” Natale of Red Bank, Theresa Welsher and her husband, Paul of Monroe Township, and Joanne Rofrano and her husband, Joseph of Old Bridge; grandchildren, Christopher, Alaina, John, Jennifer, Christina, Amanda, Harrison, Shannon, Vincent, and Samantha; ten great grandchildren; and a sister, Anne Romanelli of South Abington, PA.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, private services will be held for the family at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, Freehold Township on Tuesday, April 21, 2020 from 9:30 to 10:00 AM with her funeral service to follow. Relatives and friends are invited to participate via Webcast through the Funeral Home website.
