Obituary of Deborah L. O'Brien

 Deborah L. O’Brien, 66, of Fairfield passed away peacefully on Friday, April 17, 2020 at home, surrounded by her loving husband and daughters. Born in North Carolina, Deborah was raised in Old Bridge, NJ, and relocated to Fort Wayne, IN, and Westchester County, NY, before settling in Fairfield, CT 14 years ago. She had a dedicated career as an Executive Assistant and recently retired following 20 years with Capital Counsel, LLC in Manhattan. Deborah loved spending time outdoors, whether it was in her backyard gardening, hiking, fishing, or at the beach.  She enjoyed traveling, antiquing, and craft festivals. Above all, what meant most to her was spending time with her husband and family, and the joy they shared in every moment spent together.

Deborah was predeceased by her parents, Robert and Della Bell. She is survived by her beloved husband of 25 years, Jim Rizzo of Fairfield, CT; daughters, Kristi McKenna and her husband, John, of Columbus, NJ, Kelly Dobrinsky and her husband, Mark, of Bordentown, NJ, and Kayla Taylor and her husband, Christopher, of Northport, NY; grandchildren, Jack McKenna, Kate McKenna, Emmaline Dobrinsky, and Everett Dobrinsky; sisters, Sue Savitsky and her husband, Craig, of Dagsboro, DE, and their sons Craig Bryan and Joseph, and Bonnie Lally and her husband, Thomas, of Freehold, NJ, and their daughters Kyra and Kelsey; stepdaughter Cecilia Gomes and family, of Middleboro, MA, and stepson Matt Rizzo and family of Northport, FL.
