Obituary of Aurora Alar
Aurora Alar, 91, of Howell passed away on Friday, April 17, 2020 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. She was born to Justa Marchante and Fransisco Mirabal and raised in Punta Brava, Cuba and had lived in Hoboken and Jersey City before settling in Howell. She loved to dance and was a gifted seamstress always hard at work making beautiful dresses and costumes for her daughter and passed this talent and passion onto her family. She lived her life bringing love and laughter to all those around her, and will live forever in the hearts of those who knew her.
Aurora was predeceased by her sisters, Juana Garcia, Maria Mirabal, Estella Rodriguez, and Georgina Mirabal and brothers, Cirilo Mirabal and Pedro Mirabal. She is survived by her husband, Robert Alar of Freehold; daughter, Mary Alar-Hogger of Freehold; grandchildren, Allison Hogger of Freehold, Rebecca Hogger of Freehold, Erik Hogger of Freehold; great grandson, Elric Ropp of Freehold; sister, Consuela Noa of Miami, FL; nieces, Evelyn Garcia of Somerset and Miriam Noa of Miami, FL; nephew, James Garcia and his wife, Thea of Freehold; great nephews, Evan and Jesse Garcia of Freehold; grandson in-law, Tim Ropp of Freehold.
