Obituary of Teresa Carrera

Teresa Carrera, 93, of Freehold passed away on Tuesday, April 21, 2020 at The Manor, Freehold Township. She was born and raised in Brooklyn, had lived in Old Bridge in 1991, and settled in Freehold in 2013. A loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister, Teresa will truly be missed.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband; parents, Gerard and Vera Vaccaro; sister, Ann Carrera; and brother, John Vaccaro. Teresa is survived by her three children, Vincent Carrera and his wife, Denise of Plano, Tx, Geraldine “Gerrie” Smith and her husband, James of Manalapan, and Diane Marino and her husband, Victor of Freehold Township; grandchildren, Krysten Barrenechea and her husband, Alvaro, Jennifer Carrera, Courtney Furillo and her husband, Casey, and Taylor Marino; a great granddaughter, Isabella Mae Furillo; two sisters, Rose Arena of Brooklyn, NY and Florence Finnerty of Staten Island, NY; and many nieces and nephews.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, private services will be held for the immediate family on Saturday, April 25, 2020 from 10:00 to 10:30 AM with her funeral service to follow at 10:30 AM. Relatives and friends are invited to participate via Webcast through the Funeral Home website. Interment will take place in Old Tennent Cemetery, Manalapan.
