Obituary of William Frederick Beck

William Frederick Beck, 82, of Freehold passed away on Monday, April 27, 2020 at Mattison Crossing. He was born in Elizabeth, raised in Monmouth County, NJ, and last resided in Freehold in the fall of 2018. William worked as a Teacher for the Howell Township Board of Education for over 30 years before retiring in 1992. He was an avid fan of baseball, especially the Mets. William enjoyed going to Atlantic City with his wife, where he liked to play the slot machines. He was passionate about spending quality time with his wife. They went on many cruises to the Caribbean together. Above all, he was a loving husband and father.

William was predeceased by his parents, Frederick and Theresa Beck; brother, Robert Richard Beck; and sister, Ruth Worth. He is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Phyllis Beck of Freehold; four sons, Douglas William Beck and his wife, Mary Sou of Whippany, NJ, Frederick John Beck of Madison, AL, James Allen Beck of Millstone Township, NJ, and William Michael Beck of East Windsor, NJ.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, private services will be held for the immediate family on Monday, May 4, 2020 from 9:30 to 10:00 AM with his private funeral service to follow at 10:00 AM. Relatives and friends are invited to participate via Webcast through the Funeral Home website. Interment will take place in Marlboro Memorial Cemetery, Morganville.
