Kenneth Warren Collins
Devoted Father and Grandfather ---
Kenneth Warren Collins, 76, of Freehold Township, NJ, passed away on April 29, 2020 at CentraState Medical Center. Born in Stamford, Ct, he later resided in New Providence and Chatham. He graduated from New Providence High School and Fairleigh Dickinson University with a B.A. in History. He proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1963-1967 and was a member of the American Legion Post 433. He was employed by British Aerospace Systems (BAE) in Wayne, NJ as a Principal Engineer, Reliability Engineering until his retirement. Kenneth enjoyed fishing, crossword puzzles, spending time with his grandchildren, was an avid reader and Jeopardy watcher.
He was predeceased by his parents Lloyd and Louise Collins; his stepmother, Ruth Collins; and siblings, Sally Goetzke and Jeff Collins. He is survived by his devoted daughter, Erin Collins Petty and her husband, Michael of Howell, NJ; his loving grandchildren, Maureen MacTaggart and Matthew MacTaggart of Howell; siblings, Lloyd Collins, Polly Fischer and her husband, Harry, Larry Collins and his wife, Carol, Trudy Miller, and Susie D'Alessandro and her husband, Alan; his cousin, Colleen Baldwin; his former wife, Virginia Collins; and many nieces and nephews.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a funeral service to honor Kenneth will be held at a later date.
