Elizabeth Fenick

Obituary of Elizabeth A. Fenick

Elizabeth “Betty” Anne Fenick, 75, of Jobstown, formerly of Millstone Township, passed away on Thursday, April 30, 2020 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, Hamilton.  She was born in Newark and raised in Berkeley Heights before moving to Point Pleasant, Summit and then Brielle. She attended Defiance College in Ohio where she graduated with a teaching degree in English. Elizabeth lived most of her life in Millstone Township before moving to Jobstown in 2003, where she and her husband owned and operated Perfenick Farm, a Certified Thoroughbred Training Facility.  She became renowned as a Realtor acquiring more than 40 years’ experience. She worked for numerous agencies over the years, most recently Keller Williams Monmouth/Ocean, but was most proud when she was Broker/Owner of Blue Horizon Realty, Inc., a company she started in Millstone Township in 1991, sold to Century 21 in 2007. An active part of the community, she was appointed by the NJ Supreme Court to the Fee Arbitration Committee in 2016, was published in Marquis Who’s Who in 2020, was a board member of the Monmouth County Association of Realtors, a former member of the Professional Standards Committee, as well as the Ethics and Grievance Committee, and the Juvenile Conference Committee, and received many awards and recognitions including Multi-million Dollar Centurion Agent honoree, Multi-Million Dollar Club inductee, and Re-run Award recipient.

Elizabeth loved her church and church family at the United Presbyterian Church in Millstone where she was an Elder and a Deacon.  She was an avid lover of animals, many of which she helped rescue over the years, loved entertaining family and friends at her home, enjoyed playing tennis in the Wednesday and Friday tennis leagues, as well as, reading romance and crime-solving novels, and taking trips to Atlantic City. But most of all, Elizabeth was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother, and best friend. She will be remembered always for her kindness, generosity, and willingness to go above and beyond to help others, both people and animals alike. She was an angel here on Earth and now will be an angel up in Heaven watching over and guiding us all.

Elizabeth was predeceased by her son, Walter Vogel in 1983.  She is survived by her husband, Stewart Fenick of Jobstown; her sons, Ed Vogel of Laguna Niguel, California and Jamie Vogel and his wife, Deenean of Laguna Niguel California, daughter Stephanie Fenick of Jobstown; grandchildren: Vaughn, Savannah, Charlie, Gavin, and Colton all of California; and brothers, Ed Koos and his wife, Susan, of Toms River and Bobby Koos and his wife, Noreen, of Wall.
