Obituary of Brian Nodine

Brian Nodine, Sr., 69, of Freehold passed away on Sunday, May 10, 2020 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center. He was born and raised in Jersey City, NJ and had lived in Belville, NJ. Brian then moved to Union Beach where he bought his first home. Thereafter, he moved to Manalapan before he settled in Freehold in 2008. Brian worked as an Accountant for Hughes Hubbard & Reed for a few years, retiring in 2013. He met his wife, Diane, at the World Trade Center. Brian attended St. Peter’s College where he graduated and received his bachelor’s degree before going to Fairly Dickenson where he received his master’s degree. He coached all five of his children in Soccer and Basketball, which he also played as well. Brian served in the Army Reserves as a Captain in the field artillery. Above all, he was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

He leaves behind to mourn his loss, his beloved wife of 38 years, Diane Nodine of Freehold; children, Brian Nodine, Jr., of Freehold, Jason Nodine and his wife, Katie of Howell, David Nodine of Lambertville, Alexandra Nodine and her Fiance, Robert Ormond of Freehold, and Veronica Nodine of La Verne, CA; and grandchildren, Liliana, Ivy, Eva, and Aiden.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, private services will be held for the immediate family on Wednesday, May 13, 2020 from 9:30 to 10:00 AM. A private funeral service will follow at 10:00 AM. Entombment will take place in St. Gabriel’s Cemetery, 549 Newman Springs Road, Marlboro NJ 07746. For those who desire, memorial contributions in Brian’s name may be made to the American Parkinson Disease Association, 135 Parkinson Avenue, Staten Island, NY 10305.
