Obituary of John W. Shay

John W. Shay, 49, of Jamesburg passed away on Tuesday, June 2, 2020 at home. He was born in Neptune and raised in Manalapan before settling in Jamesburg. John worked as a Truck Driver for Jam Trucking in South Brunswick. He enjoyed working on cars and motorcycles in his spare time.

John is survived by his mother, Kristine; stepfather, William “Bill”; sisters, Kristine Conway and her husband, Shawn of Manalapan and Kaleena Kenny and her husband Timothy of Aberdeen; daughter, Megan Kelly; a nephew, Jack; and his partner of 16 years, Karen Horowitz.

A memorial gathering will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Thursday, July 9, 2020 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.  For the safety of the public and our staff, we are asking everyone to help us adhere to the CDC guidelines.  Facemasks will be required.
