Obituary of Stephen P. Ruchovansky
Stephen P. Ruchovansky, 96, of Freehold passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2020 at the Atria Nursing Home of Tinton Falls. He was born in Union City, NJ, had lived in Hoboken, and settled to Tinton Falls in 2014. Stephen worked as a Pipe Fitter for Swepco in Clifton, NJ for many years before his retirement. He was a founding member of Hoboken Ambulance Care. Stephen was known for always being supportive and there for others when they were in need. Above all, he was devoted to spending quality time with his loving daughter, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Catherine Ruchovansky. Stephen is survived by his daughter, Karen Bentley and her husband, Arthur of Freehold; grandchildren, Jonathan Bentley of Woodbridge, Jason Bentley of Long Branch, Timothy Bentley and his wife, Jennifer Fontanez of Hazlet, and Alison Simone and her husband, Anthony of Manahawkin; and great grandchildren, Dakota Rae Bentley, Kaylee Simone, and Aubrey Simone.
Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Friday, July 3, 2020 from 8:00 to 9:00 AM. A private Funeral Mass will be held at the Co-Cathedral of St. Robert Bellarmine. For the safety of the public and our staff, we are asking everyone to help us adhere to the CDC guidelines. Facemasks will be required. Interment will take place in Brigadier General William C. Doyle New Jersey Veterans Cemetery, Arneytown.
